Qualified Badminton Coach

Badminton CoachStephanie qualified as a Level 2 Badminton Coach with Badminton England (Governing body) in 2007, qualified as a BISI Primary School Badminton Teacher in 2010.  Stephanie has held DBS (CRB checks) since becoming a badminton coach (a requirement of every school and organisation) which allows her to coach children of all ages.

Since qualifying as a badminton coach Stephanie now runs several different sessions, including, group coaching (after school clubs, evening adult sessions) and ‘BISI’ Badminton for Primary Schools. For more details of Badminton coaching see stefthebadmintoncaoch.co.uk.

She is also involved with Worcestershire and Warwickshire Junior county training mainly the two younger age groups and developing groups. Whe works alongside Ex-International players Lorraine Cole and Julia Mann, what an honour that is. She is the Development Officer for West Midlands Performance Centre (WMPC) and coaches at several groups and levels within the PC.  At every opportunity she encourages talented young players to pursue a badminton performance pathway.

Stephanie also delivers a selection of sessions for Sandwell Leisure Trust.

Being highly involved in the sport she also plays at her long time club, Ashton Badminton Club (Ashton BC) in the Cradley Heath League. The club boosts catering for all, juniors, beginners and seasoned players. She has also played and still does occasionally for XDC badminton club  (XDC) in the Worcestershire League.

In a pursuit to payback her enjoyment of the sport Stephanie volunteers to Line Judge and pursues a more official role of Umpire.
